Introducing The New Room 4 Bloggers

Hello we are Sasha and Claire your new year 6 Room 4 bloggers for this term. We will provide you with some awesome Room 4 informaition. Wow! The first couple of weeks have gone so fast but we have met loads of new classmates. This is our first time being bloggers, we hope you like our awesome information - that's all for now, stay tuned in for some class writing and more.

ROOM 4 2011

Welcome to room 4 2011.
We are an energetic class of year 4s lead by Miss Paterson!

• So far this year we have improved our swimming skills over in the school pool.
• Learnt how our behaviour can effect our learning. We have looked at creating new "bush tracks" so that we can learn better.
• At the moment in reading we are learning how to ask questions as we read. This is important as it gives us purpose for reading and helps us to understand what we are reading.
• In maths we have looked at some number knowledge and currently we are learning some addition and subtraction strategies. Such as counting on or back in sets of 10, using our doubles knowledge and counting forwards and backwards in ones in our heads.
  
• Currently in writing we are looking at how to write a procedure.

Showing PRIDE

Last term we had the health nurse visit room 4. She talked about the importance of showing PRIDE in ourselves . This means wearing the correct school uniform in a tidy manner. If for some reason your child is unable to wear the correct uniform please send a note. This note is taken to the school office where a uniform pass will be issued. Some of us like to get muddy during playtimes. If you child likes to play rough and tumble games at lunchtime please send along some old clothes for them to change into.
